PRODUCTION
One of Caffo Distillery's most iconic products, Vecchio Amaro del Capo was developed from an ancient recipe and improved upon by four generations of the Caffo family.
Classified as an amari molto aromatici, or very aromatic bitter, Amaro del Capo incorporates 29 beneficial and medicinal herbs, flowers, fruits and roots from the rich land of Calabria. These are harvested throughout the year and processed separately using a combination of cold and hot maceration, distillation and aromatisation over 45-60 days. These are blended together with sugar and neutral alcohol and then filtered and bottled.
