This is the third wine of the famous Super Tuscan producers, Tenuta San Guido.

Expect a wine that is packed with wild red and black berries, pomegranate, and black cherries, wrapped in notes of leather, liquorice and clove.
2023 provided excellent and consistent grape quality. The summer was warm, with a good water supply from rainfall in the spring, which provided grapes of proper maturity.
After fermentation the wine undergoes barrel aging in second and third-use French oak barriques (previously used for Guidalberto).
In recent years, the style of 'Le Difese' has changed, with Sangiovese now dominating the blend.
'Le Difese' takes its name from the teeth of the local wild boar, which is depicted on the label.
