A textured, complex wine which showcases the potential of high-quality Furmint
- Elegant and expressive aromas, combining crisp apple, earthy spice and subtle toast.
- There are mineral, apple and apricot notes on the long, vibrant and savoury palate.
- Different parcels were harvested and macerated separately, then fermented in stainless steel tanks before being matured in new oak barrels for 7 months, adding richness and complexity to the wine.
- After several tastings of the separate parcels, the family members decide on the final blend before sending the wine for bottling.
- A great match for seafood such as scallops or lobster, or roasted vegetables and meats.
- Grape variety: Furmint
- Vintage: 2018
- Type/Colour: White
- Alcohol: 14%
- Bottle Size: 75cl

A wine that shows just how good dry Furmint can be. Rich and textural, with well-integrated oak characteristics, this is a Burgundy matching (perhaps even beating) wonder. - Nick Gorton, OWC
A rich and complex oak-aged Furmint that I would heartily recommend to lovers of white Burgundy, and my top wine of 2023. - Nick Gorton, OWC
The Szepsy family Tokaji is perfect to accompany any festive feast. Elegant and sophisticated, with aromas of green herbs, lime, yellow apple, the palate is full of orchard fruit, apricot and mineral notes with a long, vibrant and slightly savoury palate due to its masterfully integrated barrel aging. Mouthwateringly good on its own, or anything, quite frankly! For those without a sweet tooth, pair with a Christmas cheeseboard for a royally delicious combo. - Rebecca Preece, OWC
