• Sierra Oriental is owned by the Diz family, who moved to Uruguay in 1998 and fell in love with the country, establishing vineyards and olive grove in 2003.
• Natural and minimal intervention processes are practiced in the vineyard, as the owners believe this producers better quality grapes.
• Fermentation of Sauvignon Gris and Pinot Grigio takes place on their skins for 4 months, which gives the wine an orange colour while also providing more body and phenolic grip.
• Sauvignon Gris is a lesser-known variety, originating from Bordeaux. It's thicker skins and fruit forward characteristics makes it perfect for producing skin-contact wines.
• An excellent match for spicier, more aromatic foods, due to the wines bold and intense nature.
