A strange pick but this is a phenomenal brandy made from the waste skins of and iconic Chardonnay made in Piemonte by the Gaja family. The Gaja wines are sensational but probably not in the price range for everyday drinking. But this grappa is not expensive and brings a soupcon of elegance to even a dreary wet Wednesday in April. - John Chapman, OWC
