A restrained, mineral style focussed on elegance with a white fruit character, a touch of oatmeal and delicate oak spice notes
- Complex aromas of lemon, gardenia, chalk and powdered rock.
- Incredible depth of flavour and concentration on the palate, while incisive acidity underpins the mineral texture with creamy lemon notes on the long, exquisite finish.
- Wild-fermented in oak, and aged for 11 months, with Malolactic conversion blocked, to retain freshness to balance the richness of the oak.
- The grapes come from 8 to 10 small parcels of vineyards in several locations in the Elgin Valley. Elgin is the coolest wine region in South Africa and is situated on an inland, hexagonal-shaped plateau, at an altitude of 300 to 500 metres.
- A great match for rich fish dishes, poultry or creamy pasta.
