Noix des Peres Chartreux is a walnut liqueur, made to a local traditional recipe by Carthusian Monks using green walnuts harvested by hand.
- The bottling of 100cl is produced using green walnuts from the Dauphiné area, which are harvested by hand on the 24th of June, also known as St. John's Day.
- The walnuts are then macerated in wine alcohol (brandy), to which sugar, and a secret array of herbs and botanicals are added
- By the makers of Green Chartreuse! Ingredients: Wine, sugar, water, alcohol, herbal ingredients
- The result is a spirit that offers up notes of creamy walnut, a little blackcurrant, coffee, green wood, chopped herbs, mint, and slight brandy spice.
- Rewarding aperitif best served cold with ice. Although it also makes an excellent cocktail ingredient. Chartreuse Noix is also delicious served poured over ice cream
