A small-scale, old vine Malbec from the famous Uco Valley.
- This Malbec comes from a small vineyard of some 7 hectares populated by ancient gnarly vines, flood irrigated and grown on sandy-clay soils.
- Fermentation happens with natural yeasts only in a single 5,000 litre concrete vessel. It is aged in used French oak barrels of 225 litres for 12 months, then spends 8 months in bottle before release.
- A polished silky feel with delightfully pure, subtly floral-scented fruits of the forest.
- A Malbec made for Argentina's other famous export, steak!
- Grape variety: Malbec
- Vintage: 2022
- Type/Colour: Red
- Alcohol: 14%
- Bottle Size: 75cl
- Group: Mendoza
Soft concentrated, silky blueberry and damson fruited wine with long finish - perfect as a fireside warming glass to push away the January blues! - Tim Bradley, OWC
I was blown away by the purity of this wine at our recent wine fair in November. Minimal intervention winemaking really lets the quality of the fruit shine. Class in a glass! - Thom Allinson, OWC
