Intriguing and complex Italian white produced from a rare native grape variety.
- Timorasso is an ancient Piemontese grape variety that was on the verge of extinction in the 1980s. It carefully revived and now the yellow-green-skinned Timorasso has enjoyed a resurgence.
- The nose is very complex with intense aromas of pear, peach, floral hints of acacia flowers, orange blossom with a background of honey.
- In 1946 Clemente Guasti founded this winery in the heart of Nizza Monferrato and started to produce and sell high quality wines from the region.
- Historically Colli Tortonesi has been best known for its Barbera, but during the last 10 years Timorasso has had a renaissance, achieving an almost cult-like status among its followers.
- Ideal to accompany an aperitif, first and second courses based on fish or white meat. It goes very well with traditional Piemontese cuisine. A perfect winter white with truffles.
