Named 'Seaside' due to almost fresh saline & liquorice notes.
- Vinified in an unusual, interesting way with 50% of the fruit fermenting on skins for 10 days, making a red wine, while the other 50% was made to be a rose.
- Both potions are then aged in large, old oak barrels for a period of time before they are then finally blended.
- This is a very pure yet curious expression of Cabernet Franc, with bright notes of raspberry and blueberry framed with graphite and a liquorice.
- Dave Geyer, the winemaker, is keen to avoid any chemical use in the vineyards, so practices sustainable and regenerative viticulture.
- This wine is bottled with no added sulphur, fining or filtration.
