'Ripe and elegant style showing flower and wild strawberry aromas. Sweet on the palate with good concentration, focus and an elegant balance. Long finish.' - Thierry Meyer, Decanter, May 2016
Distinguished right from 1394, Kessler has been sold under its own name since 1830. Kessler lies on a bedrock of sandstone and in the middle of this plot there is a small valley facing east, south-east which shelters it from the north winds and cold air streams which comes from the valley of Guebwiller. A natural extension of Grand Cru Kitterlé.
Domaine Schlumberger have practiced sustainable viticulture across all their vineyards since 2003. What's more, since 2006, 30ha of their land has been cultivated biodynamically.
