Henri Gouges discovered the Pinot Blanc mutation of Pinot Noir in his beloved Clos des Porrets in 1936!!!
- Aromas of citrus curd, white flowers on the nose with apple blossom aromas.
- Silky wine on the palate with finely balanced acidity adding freshness. Notes of green apples, pears and a hint of minerality.
- This Bourgogne white is primarly made from a 30 year old 0.7 hectare plot in the Hautes Cotes de Nuits called Les Dames Huguettes. Planted on a shallow and rocky soil, made of red clay, it produces pure and aromatic wines.
- Domaine Henri Gouges was established in 1920, although the family has been present in Nuits-Saint-Georges ostensibly more than 400 years.
- A plate of oysters or a mild crawfish boil is a great match, so is grilled trout with lemon butter or a dish of deep-fried popcorn shrimp.
- Grape variety: Pinot Blanc
- Vintage: 2021
- Type/Colour: White
- Alcohol: 13%

With the vast majority of white Burgundy being made from Chardonnay, this Pinot Blanc is a fun alternative that has bright tropical and stone fruit notes that are complemented by a richness on the palate. Absolutely delicious! - Min Yee Tseu, OWC
