Fresh and well-balanced, with all the varietal correctness you could possibly ask for from 100% Viognier from Languedoc!
- On the nose, subtle scents of citrus peel, white flowers and wild meadow cumin leaves, both minty and aniseed, offer an elegant, complex aromatic palette.
- On the palate, intense notes of Williams pear mingle with the refreshing vivacity of yuzu peel aromas, offering a delicate taste experience. The finish is long and lingering, with subtle aromas of bitter almond.
- Picked from their Minervois plot(limestone soil), this Viognier benefits of a cold soak for 48 hours in vat prior to pressing. After fermentation, the wine spend 6 months on fine lees before blending and bottling adds some texture.
- Situated in Brugairolles, near Carcassonne, Domaine Gayda has been established in 2003 by Tim Ford, Anthony Record and the winemaker Vincent Chansault. Their focus is on expressing the unique characteristics of the Languedoc terroir.
- This Viognier pairs well with a variety of dishes including seafood, poultry, creamy pasta and dishes with aromatic herbs. It's also excellent with Asian cuisine, particularly those with a spicy or tangy profile.

'Textbook Viognier character from innovative Languedoc producer Gayda - unusual in a basic varietal range. Apricot, peach, a touch of mango muskiness, perfumed and balanced with a surprisingly long finish. Well priced and widely available. Just the wine you need with a Friday night korma. 91' - Fiona Beckett, Decanter
"Clean fresh style with lifted aromas of honeysuckle and peach, followed up by a crisp backbone of good fresh acidity. Nicely restrained" - Karen MacNeil, Wine Journalist.
A delightful fruit-driven wine from this organic producer. Soft peach and apricot overtones. Not expensive and far from dull! - Ted Sandbach, OWC
