The parcel Les Perrières has been planted on slopes that were originally natural meadow. The potential for this site was discovered during a review by the INAO of the appellation boundaries. The proximity to the river Layon, its exposure and the exceptional shale terroir make this an ideal place to produce quality Coteaux du Layon.
