A classic Saint-Estèphe, with real depth and concentration in fruit, joined by notes of tobacco and pencil-lead.
- The estate originates from the 18th century, but was obtained by its current owners, Martin and Olivier Bouygues in 2006.
- Saint-Estèphe is the most northerly region in the Médoc, and it known for its fresher, elegant styles of wine, due to the high levels of limestone in the soils.
- This wine spends 12 months ageing in French oak, which softens the strong tannic structure and adds complexity to the wine, such as notes of tobacco and resin.
- Majority of the plantings on the estate are Merlot (52%) followed by Cabernet Sauvignon (39%) and the rest a split between Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
- As the estate is under the same ownership as Château Montrose, they share the same winemaking team.
- Grape variety: Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc
- Vintage: 2019
- Type/Colour: Red
- Alcohol: 14.5%
