This 3ème Cru Classé is an opulent wine, showing classic fragrant and elegant Margaux characteristics.
- Deep ruby in colour with enticing aromas of blackberry, cherry, blackcurrant complemented by baking spice and violet. The palate is full-bodied and refined, with flavours of strawberry, cassis with a touch of smoke.
- This Margaux has been aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, 60% of which are new, which softens the tannins as well as adding a vanilla and wood character.
- A blend of 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Merlot.
- Château Cantenac-Brown was founded by Scotsman John Lewis Brown in the early nineteenth century, whose relentless hard-work was recognised by the 1855 Bordeaux Classification when the Château was given its prestigious ranking.
- This wine is in its drinking window, but could be enjoyed for a further ten years.
