A medium bodied, rich Chardonnay from the oldest winery in Napa Valley.
- Inviting aromas of apple, lemon, blossom and honeydew melon which continue to the palate along with pear and grapefruit.
- 50% of this wine has been aged in French oak, and also spent some time on its lees, which adds roundness as well as complex notes of vanilla, brioche and toast.
- Established in 1861 by Charles Krug, this winery is now run by the 4th generation of the Mondavi family, who purchased the estate in 1943.
- Carneros is a unique appellation, and overlaps both Sonoma and Napa Valley. It has a cooler climate, with foggy mornings and warm, sunny afternoons. This combination contributes freshness and concentration to the grapes.
- A wonderful accompaniment to salmon or poultry.
