A fantastic signature offering from St. Lucia Distillers with one of the most interesting stories in the entire Rum industry
- On 2nd May 2007 a horrific fire decimated the administration offices at the distillery, destroying the tracking data for the warehouse stock
- Eventually, after a lot of work, the inventory was re-organised, but there were a number of casks remaining which could not be tracked. These were dubbed the Forgotten Casks
- The distillery blending team set about creating a brand new release using these casks. The result was a blend of casks ranging from 6-11 years old
- Today the original Forgotten Casks are long gone, but the legacy lives on in this release where master blender Deny Duplessis crafts as re-imagining of the original release
- A Rum with bags of character, you'll find notes of flavours of raisins, honeyed fruits, cigar box tobacco and pleasant vanilla pod finish
- Type/Colour: Golden
- Alcohol: 40%
- Bottle Size: 70cl
- Country: Saint Lucia
Following a fire in the distillery a number of casks were left to age in unconventional places. These were conveniently remembered and recovered, among them were casks of rum between 7 and 12 years old once containing Jim Beam, Jack Daniels and Buffalo Trace. These were blended and left to rest for another 5 years.
