A fascinating white blend from Priorat, and one well worth exploring!
- On the nose, aromas of fresh citrus fruits and white flowers, with subtle toastiness from oak ageing.
- Very expressive on the palate, showing flavours of stone fruits, lemon and tropical fruits such as Lychee; honeysuckle, chamomile, and a hint of ginger.
- With a mineral background, ripe, unctuous and fleshy in mouth. A very intense wine of remarkable personality, with volume and vibrant acidity, and a wide and structured palate.
- The varieties are fermented separately, in new French oak barrels. The wine is kept in the same casks for a short ageing of six months on its lees. After ageing the wine is bottled and stored for at least two years before being released.
- Can be combined with all types of fish, and especially with seafood. Also with white meat and vegetables.
- Grape variety: Viognier, Pedro Ximinez, Macabeo (Viura), Grenache Blanc
- Vintage: 2020
- Type/Colour: White
- Alcohol: 13.5%
- Bottle Size: 75cl
- Group: Catalunya
I'm a big fan of the wines from Priorat. The lesser known whites are brilliant too, especially this one, offering a great alternative for customers looking for something intriguingly different. - Aljoscha Wright, OWC
An expressive, rich white packed with pear, peach and apricot, with subtle hints of ginger and chamomile. - Neil Gladding, OWC
