Excellent value and quintessentially Northern Rhône
- Located in the northernmost part of the Rhône valley, 50km south of Lyon
- Made in a style to rival the wines from Hermitage, this wine is deep and spicy with an almost inky black colour
- On the nose you get incredible notes of black olive and bacon fat, on the palate you get pepper spice and rich black fruit
- Fabulous on its own but unbeatable with a fat burger or juicy steak
- "Les Larmes du Pere" refers to to the region's ancestry and the farmers who once toiled across the Rhône landscape
- Grape variety: Syrah(Shiraz)
- Vintage: 2021
- Type/Colour: Red
- Alcohol: 13%
- Bottle Size: 75cl
- Group: Rhône
Alain Paret was named as the winner of the inaugural 'Viognier Trophy' at the International Wine Challenge.
Saint-Joseph is one of the last places The Northern Rhône where you can find some serious value. This one has all the delicious meaty and black fruit flavours you'd expect from a world beating Syrah, without having to break the bank. - Tom Brady. OWC
