A smooth and full-bodied sake from Akashi-Tai with peach, grapefruit, lychee and floral notes that are balanced by a light woody and umami quality
- Akashi Sake Brewery has been a family-run brewery in southwest Japan since 1917, and has since expanded to include the Kaikyo Distillery.
- This Tokubetsu Honjozo Genshu is made using Gohyakumangoku rice that is polished to 60%.
- Tokubetsu means a higher rice polishing (60%) rate than standard Honjozo (70%).
- Honjozo Sakes have brewers' alcohol added, and Genshu means that the Sake is not diluted with water; this makes for a creamy and full-bodied sake with concentrated flavours and a higher alcohol content
- Absolutely superb on the rocks or perhaps try it in a Saketini!
- Alcohol: 19%
- Bottle Size: 72cl
- Country: Japan
