Although the Ferret family history can be traced back to the early 1700Â’s, the estate officially formed in 1840. Ferret quickly built a reputation based on their precise level of knowledge about every aspect of their vineyards, and in fact where one to the first in the area to vinify each vineyard parcel separately. Jeanne Ferret was the key figure in having the regions two most famous vineyards classified. It was also entirely down to her that the wines were bottled at the domaine - at a time when this was certainly not standard practice. Today, Ferret is one of the most respected producers in the region, making world class wine. The wines have great finesse and poise, and are incredibly focused in terms of their flavour profiles.

Domaine Ferret are situated in the heart of Pouilly Fuissé in the Maconnais region of Burgundy. The soils here are diverse and range from perfect to imperfect for vine cultivation. The Ferret estate covers all of the various different terroirs and climats and as such this allows them to bring real complexity to all of the wines they produce.

Domaine Ferret are a very established producer and considered one of the finest in the region. Although owned by Jadot they are left to their own devices and due to the original family still running the day to day operation the level of knowledge of Pouilly Fuissé and its vineyards is beyond compare.

The estate produces few wines but every single one is marked by its exceptional quality and complexity.
